I’ve always been an overachiever, regularly aspiring to roles
above my age and experience, but even I was surprised when I met 33-year-old
Ahmad Alexander Evaji, the CEO and Founder of NuViza.
Sure, young CEO's aren't unheard of these days, but there was
something about Ahmad that was so approachable. When I took the opportunity to
learn more about Ahmad and his background, his demeanor started to make a whole
lot more sense.
Over a decade ago at the age of 19, Ahmad was like a lot of new
adults — he wanted to be his own boss. He loved the idea of being able to work
for himself, and sought out ways to make it happen.
When he stumbled upon network marketing, he had found what he’d
been looking for. Ahmad started at the bottom as a distributor, and over
several years of hard work and success, he’d become a big player in his
company.
Despite doing so well, Ahmad said goodbye to network marketing
after 7 years of building his network marketing business. He was burned out by
the system he was working in, and didn’t feel like it offered enough
opportunities to succeed for everyone as a whole. He discovered the system
favored the top 1% of the company, and cared little about the other
distributors.
Ahmad took time to think about what he could do besides network
marketing that would still allow him to work for himself. He’d decided he would
never go back into that field. Then some of the distributors from his old
company approached him with an idea he had never considered.
His old colleagues tried to convince Ahmad to build a network
marketing business, not as a distributor, but as a CEO. He could create his own
system that worked the way he envisioned, and train others to benefit from it
too. So from 2009-2011 he planned what he envisioned a real network marketing
company should be, developing a system where every member of the company had
equal value and opportunity to succeed. He launched NuViza on January 1st,
2011.
I think that’s why Ahmad doesn’t seem like your typical CEO. While most CEO’s don’t go in to business
asking themselves “how can I help everyone around me gain as I gain” the idea
that network marketing is supposed to be based on, of which the company wins
when the distributors win is what Ahmad was passionate about. And he knew the
only way to do that was to create the “modernized” network marketing opportunity.
NuViza began with a unique spin and focus. Ahmad knew that most
CEOs of network marketing companies came from a corporate background, taking a
very hands off approach. Instead, Ahmad opted to build with the organization,
training representatives directly, and even directly building in the field side
by side with the distributors.
The unique thing about Ahmad is that he understands exactly what
it takes to build from scratch. He may be a CEO officially, but he’s still a
team leader helping people develop in a team of people working together to
succeed. As he calls it a “hand in hand” system, he has created an opportunity
truly designed to allow the average person across the known world to experience
success. The only thing needed is commitment and willingness to learn.
Because Ahmad is such a unique CEO, I imagine that NuViza is also no ordinary company. I will be interested to see what he manages to accomplish as it grows.
